FAQs
What is Biosignature Modulation?
Biosignature Modulation is a technique invented by Charles Poliquin. It consists of a 12-point body fat analysis conducted with scientific grade calipers. The measurements are then put into a proprietary program and cross-referenced with database based on information gathered from tens of thousands of subjects. The program provides a highly accurate measure of body fat and assesses the client’s primary hormonal issues.
By recommending supplements and nutritional and lifestyle changes to lower those hormones, this process achieves spot reduction of body fat deposits. If you have stubborn fat deposits around the mid-section, thighs, triceps, or elsewhere, there’s a good chance Biosignature Modulation can help.
In addition, all Biosignature Practitioners are trained to address many common health problems using lifestyle and nutritional changes and targeted supplements. Just some of the common ailments which can be addressed include:
Poor sleep (inability to fall asleep, waking up during the night, waking up early)
Morning grogginess
Daytime fatigue
Digestion issues
Chronic pain
Anxiety
Low sex drive
Detoxification
What is Structural Balance?
There is an optimal strength ratio that exists in every individual among the muscles surrounding the shoulder girdle, hip, knee and ankle. Poor structural balance (when some of the muscles around one of these joints are weaker in relation to the others than they should be) exposes an individual to injury and frequently prevents the body from allowing the prime movers to develop for fear of injury.
Athletes commonly hit plateaus because of structural balance issues. Poor structural balance can also be the cause of bad posture (torso leaning forward, shoulders hunched forward, etc.), joint instability and chronic pain from certain activities.
To determine if you have a structural imbalance, contact a local PICP Level I (Upper Body), or Level II (Upper and Lower Body) Strength Coach. Please note, while many issues can be solved in the gym, some will require soft tissue treatment for which your trainer may refer you to a chiropractor or Active Release Technique (ART) practitioner.
Can multiple individuals attend a consultation or training session?
Dan prefers to give his entire attention to a single client to ensure each one receives the best service possible.
What kinds of individuals would benefit most from these services?
These services are beneficial to all clients, male and female, of all ages, corporate executives, stay-at-home moms, or athletes. The purpose of the various assessments are to determine what is right for you as an individual, but the assessment techniques are applicable to all clients.
What about special sessions that do not fall into one of the above categories?
Special purpose sessions, including multiparty consultations, group teaching, multiparty evaluations and training (for a sports team or military unit, for example), or large-scale program design are handled on an ad-hoc basis. The cost of the service will be based on the length of time necessary to perform it, any required preparation or materials, and any transportation to and from the service site.
