Dan Katz, CEO and founder of Optimal Fitness Coaching
Dan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Engineering, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering. After completing his degree, he enlisted in the Army, became a Special Forces Medic and proceeded to serve with 5th Special Forces Group including two deployments to Iraq.
During his time in the Army, Dan coached hundreds of individuals, military and civilian, men and women, young and old. Dan is now a first-year MA student at the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC.

Justin Musil, Senior Instructor
Justin holds two strength training and conditioning certifications, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA, and Level I Strength Coach under the Poliquin International Certification Program (PICP).
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Legal Studies, Justin served in the U.S. Army for five years as a Special Forces Operational Detachment member — the elite Green Berets.
He has helped numerous clients of varying backgrounds reach their fitness and wellness goals, including new mothers wanting to lose weight and get back into shape, members of the elite U.S. Army Special Forces and Special Operations Forces, laborers and office personnel, and young men and women vying for their ultimate beach body.
He now does fitness coaching in the Milwaukee area.
Nick Lewing, Instructor-in-Training
Nicholas Lewing graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2003 and a B.S. in Chemistry in 2004. He spent the next five years serving as a U.S. Army Special Forces Medic.
He is currently a first-year medical student at Tulane University with the intention of specializing in orthopedic surgery.
